I would go out into the garden and shout his name - after a brief pause, he would wander over the horizon, the ground shaking with each footstep, and come and see me. He was a proper giant, a good 3 or 4 storeys tall but totally unthreatening. I do have firm recollection of actually seeing him though, so I don't know if it was repeated dreams, or if I just had an incredibly vivid imagination/childhood hallucinations.
